Business Parks and Technology Parks in the Frankfurt RhineMain Region
The following list exclusively contains buildings or complexes of buildings, erected on a single site following a uniform concept. These are no industrial estates as defined in building regulations. Following the definition in real estate business, business parks are objects built by developers and offered for rent. They consist of different combinations of office spaces, service and storage spaces. The office percentage can vary between 10 and 80 %. Pure office parks have not been included in this survey, but there is not always a sharp line. Consequently, some sites with office percentages above 80 % have been indicated separately (page 12). Technology parks and especially start up centres (page 14) additionally offer specialized services, e.g. consulting for starters, about technical infrastructure and the like. Transfer of technology as well as integration into regional networks will be organized.
In a survey among the communities of the Economic Promotion Board Frankfurt RhineMain Region the attempt was made to register the business parks and the technology parks systematically. Objects created by redevelopment of existing older buildings (e.g. abandoned factory buildings) have been included. With this list, interested enterprises get a nearly complete survey at their hand. For any inquiries about vacancies and terms of rent the managing agencies of the particular objects should be contacted.
In total, this list, in alphabetical order by our communities, contains 66 business parks and 25 technology parks/start up centres, with the main area around the core cities. Especially south of Frankfurt am Main and in the District Offenbach you can find quite a number of business parks because of relatively low real estate costs and the attractive location near the Frankfurt airport.
